Overview

Kimberly is the founder of the Mediation and Law Offices of Kimberly Davidson. She has a comprehensive family law practice where she focuses on non-adversarial alternatives to divorce including Collaborative Practice, Mediation and divorce advisement. Ms. Davidson is committed to helping clients reduce the pain of divorce by offering non-litigation options to address the legal, emotional and financial aspects of divorce. Kim's overall goal is to assist those confronting a divorce to restructure their families in a positive way. As a family lawyer, Ms. Davidson listens carefully to clients' interests and concerns to assist them in identifying and articulating their goals so they can achieve the best possible outcome for their family. Ms. Davidson is a graduate of the Southwestern University School of Law. She also holds a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from Loyola Marymount University, where her training emphasized effective communication and family relations. This degree has helped Kim to be a compassionate listener to clients and to empathize with both parties in a divorce. In addition to her counseling background, Kim has experience working with addiction and substance abuse issues and the unique impact those issues have on the divorcing family. Kim is an active leader in the consensual dispute resolution community. She is a past President of Collaborative Practice California, founder and past President of the South Bay Collaborative Group “A Better Divorce” and a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. In addition to her leadership in CDR, Kim is a past President of the South Bay Bar Association. In 2006, she was presented with the Eureka award for excellence in Collaborative Practice.
