The LRAA, as well as, the Regulations relating thereto take effect on 1 January 2015, with exception of Section 198(4F) that requires the registration of temporary employment services [labour brokers] (“TES”) with the Employment Services Board (“ESB”). It is important for TES, their clients, as well as, the users of and temporary employees to remember that the specific provisions of Section 198A and 198B relating to employees earning less than the threshold in respect of the deeming provisions regarding employment and permanency of employment shall apply three months from the 1st of January 2015.
