Overview

King’s College London’s Official Biotechnology and Synthetic Biology Society. Ratified by the King’s College London Student Union (KCLSU) and Gold Medal Winning Society by the KCLSU two years in a row. We aim to make the topics of biotechnology and synthetic biology accessible to everyone within the society and beyond. Directly affiliated with the King’s College London’s international Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) Competition Team. We host several different events and workshops throughout the academic year. These include guest speakers at our institution whose research focuses on synthetic biology, biotechnology, are in the bioentrepreneurship industry and beyond; science communication workshops; as well as activities focusing on our members’ well-being such as mentorship schemes. Our presence on social media platforms also aids in our aim to make our fields as accessible as possible; we target that via different media campaigns on our various profiles. To follow our events for the upcoming academic year closely and other campaigns we spearhead, we recommend you follow us on our Instagram account at @kclbiotechsynbio.
