Overview

This organization is dedicated to creating a public auto museum to preserve all aspects of the Greater Kansas City automotive heritage, to showcase classic cars owned by Kansas Citians and to celebrate our enthusiast community. Kansas City is no longer the largest metropolitan area in the country without a public museum honoring its automotive history. Kansas City, home to major automotive and motorcycle manufacturing, racing, and a vibrant collector community, has a rich automotive heritage. And now we have a public museum honoring that heritage. The Kansas City Automotive Museum opened in the spring of 2014. The Kansas City Automotive Museum is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization. Our goal is be the hub of all things automotive-related in the Kansas City region. For more information, please visit: www.kansascityautomuseum.com. We currently have 12,000 square feet of display space, but our goal is to occupy a 60,000+ square foot facility. We have constantly changing displays of historically significant and classic vehicles that are privately owned by citizens of the region, dozens of displays on various aspects of our region's automotive history, a reception facility for special events & car club meetings, a children's area, a gift shop and administrative offices.
