Established in 1977 within the harbour area of Old Aberdeen, James Aiken relocated to a modern state-of-the-art 20,000 square foot manufacturing facility located within the well serviced industrial estate of Bridge of Don, Aberdeen. The facility includes both fabrication and machine workshops and the extra space led to investment in additional equipment to significantly expand its capability and service offering. This includes water jet and plasma cutting equipment. James Aiken Engineering Solutions can process sheets from 0.5mm up to 200mm thick, with 2-10mm being typical on a daily basis. James Aiken understands the importance of people and continues to invest in staff, facilities, operating procedures, business software and business hardware, while remaining committed to the ongoing support of management, key contractors and its supply chain. Investment in E-Max Systems, an ERP manufacturing system, drives production control and ensures the effective planning and organisation of resources to meet customer deadlines. James Aiken Engineering Solutions has a broad customer base which covers, oilfield offshore maintenance, lighting, signage, architectural engineering, commercial fabric maintenance, local government utilities and infrastructure.
