Overview

What letter are you in JADE? The name JADE is an acronym made up of the first letters of the names of the founders of JADE Mediation Practice Group – Joni, Ashley, Debbie and Eileen. But JADE isn’t about proper spelling, so whatever your name might be, your letter is part of JADE. Whether you are still in school learning about mediation, or have more years of experience mediating than you’d like to admit, JADE is your community. Our role-play sessions will teach you about new and different areas of dispute resolution, and our guest coaches will help you refine your skills and give you experience and confidence. JADE role-play is a large part of what makes JADE unique. On average we have a role-play session once per month (although sometimes we just have a social gathering, called “Let’s Talk”). The sessions are generally between 6:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Participating in a JADE session will earn you 2 CEE points for every hour attended (to use toward your Professional ADR Designation). Guest coaches can claim 15 CEE points towards their Professional ADR designation for coaching a session, and 5 additional ones for writing a role play for a session.
