// Who we are The IZ is an independent non-profit organization that has been committed to diversity, dialogue and education - since 1987. *Diversity: We see social diversity as an opportunity, not a threat and contribute to diversity, equal opportunities and inclusion. *Dialogue: We promote networking and bring actors into dialogue with one another - across areas and national borders. *Education: Education shapes all projects of the IZ. We want to empower people to participate through real-life educational projects. We are based in Vienna and work at local, regional, national and international levels. // What we do *International projects: Based on current social challenges in Europe and its neighborhood we start projects to address problems and to provide positive impulses for diversity and participation. To do this, we collect requests from various partners and sponsors and strengthen the work of our partners in their regions through national and international networks. *IZ Academy: We offer a variety of seminars and training courses about diversity and intercultural competences. Inclusion is just as much a topic as intercultural conflict management and prejudice-conscious education. Target groups are private individuals as well as organizations and companies, teachers or school classes. *National Agency for EU Youth Programs For many years we have been successfully implementing the EU youth programs in Austria, currently “Erasmus+ Youth in Action” and the “European Solidarity Corps”. With the SALTO Resource Centre for the Solidarity Corps we have been commissioned to support the implementation of the Solidarity Corps at European level. We support countless projects in the youth sector and conduct international training courses on relevant topics in youth work.
