Overview

We have big Italian hearts! We are a not-for-profit organization comprised of volunteers who work with Ital-Canadian communities to promote the Ital-Canadian culture. Our main activity is Festa Italiana (formerly Viva Italia Viva Edmonton), the summer Italian festival held annually in Giovanni Caboto Park. It’s what we feel is the best opportunity for Ital-Canadian communities to reconnect and rekindle their heritage. We are not affiliated with any other business or association, but we do collaborate with as many Ital-Canadian organizations as possible to bring our vision to life; and welcome all Canadians to celebrate with us! We’re proud to share our traditions and culture with anyone who is interested. “Honorary Italians”, as we say, feed our passion. It's what reminds us that our heritage is rooted in Canadian multiculturalism. We envision Ital-Canadian togetherness. Like families, we see generations and communities coming together to celebrate Canada's Italian roots. Our mission is to bridge the generation gap by celebrating the contributions made by Italian settlers to Canada and to encourage their same kind-hearted leadership in today’s youth. We believe that positive attitudes build positive communities. We value ‘Big Italian Hearts’ - kindness, hard work, collaboration and leadership. To work with us, email us at: info@agie.ca
