Overview

The ITSA Digital Trust (formerly IT Schools Africa) is a UK-registered charity founded in 2004 with a mission to provide quality IT education for disadvantaged young people in Africa while simultaneously supporting vulnerable individuals through our active UK Community programme. The ITSA Digital Trust supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) to ensure our work is relevant and focuses where our support is most needed. SDG 4 Quality Education: ITSA helps to improve access to quality education and skills for students and learners, providing key skills that are applicable not just in employment but also daily life. We achieve this through the provision of quality learning facilities and teacher training. Our work focuses on school communities in Africa as well as local communities in the UK Achievements: Since 2004 • 5.6 million students and community members given access to IT • 115,000 computers & laptops collected in the UK • 34 new school IT labs in Africa • 22,000 UK learners given digital skills support ITSA works alongside established NGOs in Africa to manage the distribution, training and support to schools in its country programmes. We currently work with NGOs in Kenya, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
