Island Growers Caribbean

Overview

Island Growers Caribbean is a US/Caribbean based company established to introduce various agricultural enterprises and technologies to overcome quality food production challenges in specifically targeted geographies affected by significant climate risk, high food import cost, and low domestic agricultural output. Our leading edge proprietary growing technologies are supplied by our associate company, Island AgTech, which includes the first CAT5 hurricane resistant greenhouse system, integrated with a customized and highly efficient sub-tropical hydroponic system. Island Growers Caribbean builds, owns, and operates our commercial farms across the region. We intend to ‘Grow Local’ to disrupt the increasing dependency on the fresh produce import supply chain in the Caribbean and Pacific regions. In addition, our social mandate includes knowledge transfer to local resources through training and certification, improving food security to island economies, dramatically reducing the carbon footprint of import logistics, and providing higher nutrition food sources to local populations to improve overall health. Island Growers Caribbean will become a major producer and distributor of fresh, high-quality produce across the Caribbean and Pacific regions, , and US mainland regions affected by hurricane threat. Priority will be given to island nations which are almost entirely dependent on fresh produce imports and where the opportunity of expanding our renewable energy generation to supply energy to our farms is most prevalent.
