International School of Turin

Overview

The International School of Turin is an independent, non-denominational, co-educational day school that strives to provide superior education in English, from Nursery through High School, for students from both the international and local communities of Turin. The school recognizes that it is serving an often transient and certainly international community and dedicates its curriculum to creating self-motivated, independent, life-long learners, prepared to enter the most outstanding universities in the world. Toward these ends, IST maintains the three levels of the International Baccalaureate Programs - Primary Years Program, Middle Years Program and Diploma Program - which, when combined, provide a course of study that stresses the acquisition of afundamental body of knowledge and the development of conceptual tools needed to gather, organize, analyze and understand the ever-increasing flow of information made available by advances in the sciences and humanities, to derive full enjoyment of the world’s rich human and cultural resources and to keep technologically aware and up-to-date. IST is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).
