Overview

The International Public Policy Association (IPPA) is a non-profit organisation based at ENTPE-LAET, University of Lyon in France and governed by the French law of the 1st July 1901. Its goals are : • Promote scientific research in the field of public policy and contribute to its internationalization, diffusion and promotion • Organise the Conference on Public Policy, a major international General conference every 2 years to allow scholars to present and to discuss their work, alternating with a Workshops conference organized every 2 years to allow a deeper research on public policy • Provide information to the policy community on conferences, networking, books, jobs, teaching resources… (Our newsletter is sent every 2 weeks to more than 8000 researchers and our website received more than 152 000 hits from over 98 000 unique visitors since January 2015) • Teach public policy by international scholar through Summer/Winter Schools for PhD students, young researchers and practitioners • Support public policy research by publishing a Journal and promoting books Past and future activities : • The International Conference on Public Policy (ICPP) and International Workshops on Public Policy (IWPP) - 2013 : ICPP1 Grenoble, France - 2015: ICPP2 Milan, Italy - 2017: ICPP3 Singapore, Singapore - 2018 : 2018: IWPP1 Pittsburgh, USA - 2019: ICPP4 Montreal, Canada • International Summer/Winter Schools on Public Policy - Brasilia edition, Brazil: 4th edition (December 2018) with ENAP - Alps edition, France: 2nd edition (January 2019) - Denver edition, USA: 2nd edition (May 2019) with the School of Public Affairs of the University of Colorado Denver - Venezia-Padova edition, Italy: 1st IPPA edition (July 2018) with the department of Political Sciences, Law and International Studies of the University of Padova • Manage a book series titled ‘International series on Public Policy’ • Launch a new International Review of Public Policy (2019)
