Overview

One of the leading organizations in developing and publishing contents on various subjects related to tailings dams design, construction, operations and closure. The ICOLD Tailings Committee is composed of representatives of many countries across the world involved in mining activities. The ICOLD annual conference, organized by country members, has been over the years the event culminating committee activities with a publication of a technical bulletin addressing specific issues in the mining industry.
