Overview

The International Centre for Policing and Security is located in the heart of South Wales. The Centre is an excellency research hub led by Prof. Christian Kaunert, Jean Monnet Chair at University of South Wales, Leader of the Cognate Research Group on Policing and leading specialist in terrorism and counter-terrorism studies. The ICPS is deeply involved with national and internationals research networks and due to its outstanding position in the academic community. The University of South Wales is in a unique situation to serve as platform and centre of excellence research in key security issues including terrorism, political violence, cyber security and warfare and the threats to national infrastructure posed by transnational organised crime. The ICPS delivers courses to support the needs of police services, law enforcement agencies and the private security industry and delivers BSc (Hons) Professional Policing, BSc (Hons) International Security and Risk Management, MSc International Security and Risk Management and PhD in Security Studies.
