Overview

Scotland's International Development Alliance is the membership body for everyone committed to creating a fairer world, free from poverty, injustice and environmental threats. We unite all those committed to international development to promote effectiveness and collectively influence the policy agenda. Our aim is to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of people and organisations working towards the relief of need anywhere in the world. Our Alliance has a uniquely global reach, with members working in at least 142 countries with a wide range of specialisms. We help members share their skills and learn from each others’ best practice to boost effectiveness across the sector. Our mission is: - To engage people and organisations in Scotland about international development and to facilitate their informed support. - To support people and organisations in Scotland contributing to effective international development to strengthen their support base and improve their impact. - To represent our members and the people and the people and communities they serve, to local, national and international decision-makers.
