Overview

The Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (IPS) is founded in the year 2021 as a part of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, University of Lucknow, and is recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi. The vision of the institute is to establish a progressive centre of brilliance for the pharmacy profession by synergizing fundamental knowledge, skillsets, and technologies to drive the transformation of the current healthcare system. The mission of the institute is to provoke an innovation-oriented, inter-disciplinary, multi-faceted, and goal-driven research and ascertain the persistent flow of self-motivated, self-reliant, socially sensitive, and employable young pharmacy professionals to meet the needs and goals of industry, academia, and research institutes. The institute offers a four-year B. Pharm program with 100 seats and a two-year D. Pharm program with 60 seats. Admission in B. Pharm program for academic session 2021–22 shall be made through AKTU (Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow) counseling on the basis of NTA-UPCET-2021 merit whereas admission in the D. Pharm program takes place as per the norms of the University of Lucknow. M. Pharm. and Ph.D. courses are also proposed to commence soon. The Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences consists of four Departments such as 1. Department of Pharmaceutics 2. Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry 3. Department of Pharmacology 4. Department of Pharmacognosy
