York has a thriving independent scene with 65% of its businesses being independently run. There is a unique assortment of business catering to all interests and needs: many of which can only be found in York. 2020 has been a uniquely challenging year for our member businesses due to COVID. It is more important than ever to support our city's small businesses to ensure their future. The historic city centre and outer shopping areas have a wonderful range of businesses to choose from and at Indie York we celebrate those independents.
