The activities of the institute are divided into research and teaching. Our current research topics can be summarized in three categories. First, in the field of antenna design, we work on developing modern antenna structures tailored for specific applications. Second, in the field of electromagnetic environmental compatibility, we deal with the detection and estimation of high-frequency electromagnetic fields with a focus on mobile radio. Finally, our institute is also involved in antenna measurement technology. With the help of several measurement chambers, we investigate faster, more efficient and more precise methods for the characterization of antennas.
