Overview

Join iGreens in challenging the outdated US open field farming model for baby leaf lettuce production. Proven Finnish technology is available in the US to help us defy a status quo tied to low technology, unskilled and cheap labor, the use of chemicals, the depletion of water and soil resources, unsustainable logistic costs and food safety vulnerabilities. Partner with us in the profitable sector of clean and locally grown greens enhancing nutrition and health of American families while using risk-free proven technology. iGreens is a Nevada-incorporated company committed to enhance horticulture production systems in the US. We aim to challenge an existing paradigm in which 98% of all US lettuce is produced in the southern states of California and Arizona on the basis of cheap labor, extensive use of pesticides and natural resources, low levels of technology and irrational logistics to serve markets up to 3,000 miles away on a daily basis. iGreens envisions high-tech indoor farming as the new normal in the production of high value crops, giving American families access to locally grown top-quality, affordable, and healthy greens without compromising US natural resources. iGreens plans to open several greenhouses across the US in the coming decade and bring the power of efficient, Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) technology to automate lettuce production, while minimizing the impact on the environment and creating jobs in US rural communities. CEA has the power to eliminate the current negative effects of producing lettuce including the severe depletion and degradation of water and soil resources, the vulnerabilities to the supply chain posed by floods and droughts, the traceability shortcuts, the low salary levels, and the health threats posed to consumers by pesticide-based production and periodic E.coli episodes.
