Within this role Ignis Energy is connecting the right ideas, technologies, companies and experts that are market leading and offers step change innovations to improve reliability, cost, and efficiency in geothermal energy delivery. As no geothermal development is the same as others and geographical, geological and market driven financial circumstances are always different, it is understandable that Ignis Energy weighs each opportunity differently. Ignis Energy is determined to keep a well-balanced portfolio of geothermal opportunities that offer different levels of acceptable risks for subsurface, technical, and financial solutions. As such we are constantly reviewing opportunities that arise globally and may elevate them into our portfolio after a due diligence review from our experts. Ignis Energy is well positioned to play in all three areas of the high enthalpy segment although our emphasis is focused on the less costly and more traditional approaches that do not require untested technology or new unproven methodologies. Our investments in some key technology providers are strategic in nature and do not expose the company to these unproven technologies but rather allow Ignis Energy to be an early adaptor if ever needed. These technology investments are mainly addressing EGS and AGS technology needs and can be used in our portfolio to mitigate development risks, or as a fallback position when traditional methods are not producing sufficient energy.
