IEEE INSAT Robotics and Automation Society Chapter

Industrial Automation

Overview

Robotics and Automation Society (RAS) Chapter is one of IEEE’s 39 technical chapters. INSAT RAS Chapter was founded in 2014 with only a few members. Today, it has become one of INSAT’s most attractive club for students who have a passion for robotics. RAS Chapter’s sole mission is to educate, inspire and leave an impact. A very adaptive and carefully selected program of training sessions is held regularly on various topics that are important to the members’ future careers as engineers. Participation in local competitions is also a main part of RAS Chapter’s activities, as it stimulates the member’s competitive side and represents a great opportunity for them to put their theoretical knowledge to practice and test their handy skills! Aside from the technical aspect, RAS Chapter dedicates great efforts to improve its members’ leadership skills by giving them the chance to organize events and congresses. Besides that, the club always aspires to have an impact on its environment, and that is done through humanitarian projects, visits and large-scale events. IEEE INSAT RAS Chapter has won an honorable number of awards: - Best RAS Chapter Poster Award - in Tunisia 2017 - Outstanding Student Branch Chapter Award - in Tunisia 2018 - Education Activities’ Contest: Acceleration Program with National Robotics Weekend (Runner-up ) - in Region 8 ( Europe, Africa and the Middle East)
