Overview

The Hydro-dis® technology is a unique Australian designed and developed water treatment and disinfection technique that uses electrolysis to break the water instantly destroying waterborne micro-organisms and micro-flora, and oxidise metals on the source water making them easier to filter out, whilst simultaneously using the electro catalytic process to converting chloride ions into chlorine leaving a measured residual disinfection in the treated water. This gives a secondary disinfection ensuring sustained microbiological and micro-floral control. This Hydro-dis® technology can be applied to a wide variety of water use applications ranging from potable water, evaporative systems (cooling towers, spray booths etc), treated wastewater disinfection through to reuse applications including stormwater which safely provides fit for purpose water for a wide variety if applications. System throughputs range from 30-100L/h (domestic unit) through to a maximum of 2MLD in an in an industrial/commercial applications. The Hydro-dis® system is specifically designed to be energy efficient, allowing isolated and remote applications to generate the power needed in-situ by solar or wind if required. As there are no moving parts, minimal maintenance and operator input is required. The Hydro-dis® system has recyclable and reusable componentry, therefore reducing landfill and also minimising the frequent replacement of costly components. During the Hydro-dis® process, Hydroxyl Radicals (a short life powerful oxidising sanitiser) are generated from the water itself destroying microorganisms and instantly providing a primary disinfection. Produced simultaneously with the Hydroxyl Radicals is a measured concentration of chlorine present as hypochlorite, also a powerful sanitiser, to produce a residual disinfection in the water. This residual protection can persist within the treated water for several days. The Hydro-dis technology is AS 4020 Certified and AS 3666 compliant.
