Hurtigruten Svalbard was founded in 1988 and the company owns several subsidiaries. Funken Lodge, Radisson Blu Polar Hotel Spitsbergen, Coal Miners' Cabins, Ingeniør G. Paulsen, Longyear78 and Huset are all part of Hurtigruten Svalbard AS. The Group has approximately 200 permanent employees in addition to seasonal workers. Hurtigruten Svalbard is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hurtigruten AS.
