In December 2014 Hunter Water Corporation (Hunter Water) announced the sale of its fully owned subsidiary, Hunter Water Australia Pty Limited (HWA). The transaction was executed as two separate asset sales of the engineering consulting and laboratory businesses. Hunter H2O Holdings Pty Limited (Hunter H2O), a consortium of private investors and HWA staff, led by the management team of HWA purchased the Engineering Consulting Business of Hunter Water Australia. The sale was completed on the 31st of December 2014. Hunter Water Australia was a specialist water and wastewater services company. It operated throughout regional Australia providing support to water authorities, local government and industry as well as servicing major international clients in North America and the Asia Pacific region. Our experienced team handled the infrastructure management and operations of over 25 water and wastewater plants over the past two decades and has been integral to many of Australia's major water treatment projects.
