Overview

My initials are HRM, so it was my destiny to work in HR (either that or royalty)! My initial appointment in HR was on a help desk; it was a baptism of fire. Since then my career in HR has spanned over 20 years in senior positions, working in a variety of sectors from luxury retail brands and logistics to manufacturing and landscape gardening. The breadth and variety of a Human Resources role is vast, and this is what has drawn me to become a consultant. My passion is not only aiding but transforming businesses through HR development and I believe that the possibilities are limitless. I am a born organiser and I love going into a business that needs everything from scratch, such as contracts of employment, handbooks and policies to ensure legal compliance and meet specific needs. Equally, it is just as important to provide a little tidy up and policy update for any business. No job is too big or small. I do not believe in over complicating things, my way of working is being clear, concise and accessible. For me, there is nothing more worthwhile than removing complications for clients and seeing through measurable improvements. I have been told I am a good listener, balanced, calm and rational. This transpires perfectly into my role as a coach, facilitating managers to make their own decisions and empowering them to make good leaders. A previous Managing Director said to me “thank you for teaching me how to manage” and it was one of the most memorable and rewarding moments in my career. A little personal bit about me, I am a proud mum of a fabulous daughter; I have an amazing family and spectacular network of friends. Since lockdown I have been mastering the art of sourdough bread making, this requires patience and has varied results, but like people, each loaf is unique, which the best part. I feel now more so than ever that HR is essential to every business, to support not just survival but pro
