Founded in 2017, The Houston Banker’s Classic is a charity golf tournament that brings together bankers from across Houston to play golf, network, and have fun supporting and learning about local charitable causes. The 7th Annual Houston Banker's Classic will be held on Wednesday, October 18th, 2023 at Wildcat Golf Club. This year's tournament will benefit Houston Haven, a non-profit 501c3 ministry dedicated to providing low cost housing to out-of-town cancer patients and their families undergoing treatment at the Texas Medical Center in Houston, TX. Since its founding in 2019, Houston Haven has served over 80 families through its growing network of 10 properties and 34 Ambassadors volunteers. The ministry’s mission is to love people undergoing cancer treatment by providing a haven for their physical needs through housing and meals, and their emotional and spiritual needs through support and prayer. The Houston Banker’s Classic is a designated fund under the Tulsa Community Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3), tax exempt organization.
