About Hospice Toronto Started over 30 years ago, Hospice Toronto is Toronto's first community- and volunteer-based, home hospice, palliative care program. We provide hospice palliative care and support for people living with serious illness and at end-of-life, their caregivers and loved ones, at no charge. Since 1988, Hospice Toronto has served 8,395 clients (directly impacting the lives of over 40,000 people). By providing and advancing compassionate care and leadership in the volunteer-based, home hospice community, Hospice Toronto has become a recognized leader in improving the quality of life for people through all phases of their life-threatening illness.
