Overview
Hope For Future Generations (HFFG) is a national community based, non-governmental, not-for-profit organization to facilitate and improve the health, education and socio-economic status of women, children and young people through empowerment, rights-based approaches, innovative and acceptable participatory strategies. Since its inception in 2001, HFFG has continuously worked to reach urban, rural and underserved communities through its interventions, with the aim of enabling members of these communities to be adequately informed and empowered to take critical decisions that will improve their quality of life. HFFG has over the last 17 years worked to change the lives of thousands of women, children and young people in communities in all 10 regions of Ghana to reduce maternal, neonatal and child health problems, socio-economic and child rights issues. With funding from the donor community, HFFG’s currently working in the areas of women and youth empowerment; HIV prevention, care and support; water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH); food and nutrition; governance and social accountability; Malaria and TB, sexual and reproductive health as well as Ebola and Cholera prevention. VISION A nation free of discrimination where women, children, and young people have equal opportunity to develop their full potential. MISSION To form partnerships that will facilitate and improve the health, education and socio-economic status of women, children and young people through empowerment, right-based approaches, innovative, acceptable, sustainable and participatory strategies.
