Overview

Honey Head is an award-winning film production house founded by industry entrepreneurs Erika Arlee and Kristi Ray. This female-led social enterprise brings a mission-driven approach to narrative filmmaking, while creating sustainable, empowering environments for their cast and crew. Since launching their brand in 2016, Honey Head has produced hundreds of diverse projects while creating space for women and underrepresented voices in cinema. In summer 2022, the company completed principal photography on its inaugural feature film, A Song For Imogene, which is on track for a 2023 premiere. Their platform for advocacy extends beyond film sets: Honey Head has partnered with Educator Sam McLeod to spearhead Shoot Like A Girl: a one-of-a-kind summer camp that gives high school girls the tools and education and confidence they need to pursue an interest in film. With a landmark first year, this program is set to scale into a national initiative. In addition to their boots-on-the-ground efforts, Honey Head hosts a podcast and leads workshops for universities, film festivals, and corporate events.
