HomePlace Living Supports

Overview

HomePlace is an organisation built on the belief that every individual has the right to a secure home and active participation in the life of the community. Established in 1989, HomePlace was formed by a group of parents who were seeking to secure an independent future for their intellectually disabled adult children These parents wanted to feel confident and assured that their children, who they had cared for until adulthood, could move into their own home, and be well supported. Today, this sentiment is just as strong as it was at HomePlace’s inception, with the organisation offering personal and individualised disability support. We work in partnership to provide support that is personalised to our participants’ wants and needs and moving them towards a more meaningful life. HomePlace’s organisational objectives in accordance with our Constitution are: - To establish, manage and maintain a range of accommodation support services for adults living with intellectual and cognitive disabilities. - To support the rights of people with an intellectual or cognitive disability to have a quality of life that is comparable to those living without disability. As an organisation, HomePlace values being: - A trusted companion - Genuinely useful and helpful - Respectful - Resilient
