We seek to provide sustainable employment opportunities for disadvantaged, marginalised and at-risk women through the connection of industry, government and community. Our vision is to be a part of building a diverse and inclusive Resources & Industrial industry that works with the community to end disadvantage for the women of today and tomorrow. As two mid-career professional females working in the Resources & Industrial sector, we have experienced firsthand the lack of diversity and challenges women, but also individuals from diverse backgrounds face in this industry. Addressing this issue is an ongoing journey, one that we have been passionately involved in through our roles in project delivery, business development and commercial management. We have taken our ongoing commitment to addressing these challenges through to the creation of HERconnect, a social enterprise focussed on empowering and supporting women into sustainable jobs in industry. It is our belief that identifying and creating employment opportunities has the potential to empower women by providing financial independence, fostering community, improving mental health, generating better futures, and breaking the cycle of violence, incarceration and poverty while creating a better, more inclusive industry for all. HERconnect is our way of giving back to an industry that has given us both so much, while changing the lives of one women at a time.
