The Hays Daily News is an award-winning Kansas newspaper forging its way through an ever-changing industry. The HDN publishes an afternoon broadsheet Tuesday through Friday with a Sunday morning edition. A total-market coverage product, The Extra, is distributed midweek to non-subscribers. A three-time recipient of the Kansas Press Association's Sweepstakes Award, The HDN has earned a number of additional national and state awards in photography, writing and design. In addition, The HDN publishes a number of niche products, including: • ONE, a collaborative effort with the Ellis County Ministerial Alliance distributed in churches, religious bookstores and the newspaper. • Sports Ink, a monthly glossy magazine on northwest Kansas prep sports. • Special sections on area travel and tourism, regional sports and scholastic events, an annual Veterans Day salute, profiles of area young professionals, and much more. HDN's digital production team, Pixel Power Haus, designs websites and mobile apps for our own publication as well as many businesses.
