Hawkspur is an independent firm of Chartered Surveyors specialising in consultancy advice to landowner clients relating to development agreements, town and country planning, land acquisitions and development land disposals throughout the UK. Our innovative and commercially minded advice is informed by over 30 years experience of our Managing Director Nick Harper FAAV MRICS. Nick’s role as a planning promoter and as the former Head of Development at The Crown Estate, as well as a consultant, brings the ability to understand planning and development from all perspectives - with commercialism and integrity as core values. Our belief is that the best advice comes from being our client’s partner rather than the hired hand. Client relationships are often long term and inter-generational. We understand this and take the long view. Our belief is that the key question that clients should ask their advisers is “Would you do this if this was your money and you owned the land?” An honest answer gains the best results. Nick Harper formed Hawkspur having spent seven years as national Head of Development and Asset Management at The Crown Estate, responsible for driving performance of their 300,000 acre diverse UK portfolio.
