Since 1987, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Providence has been an independently chartered affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI), the largest nonprofit homebuilder worldwide. Locally, our mission is dedicated to building decent, affordable housing with families that live in substandard and unaffordable housing and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. Our vision is seeing that all residents of the Greater Providence area live in decent, affordable homes. Globally, our vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Our global mission statement: Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope.
