Overview

The brainchild of songwriter/keyboardist Serge Grad (France/Mexico), The Gumbo Square Band is a mixture of male and female singers, musicians, sound/light engineers and tour managers. More than 50+ people from across the globe are committed to participating in these recording sessions, with 15 nationalities currently involved in this extraordinary project. They donate their time, talents and new songs to support the causes plaguing our world. Songs have been written in English, Portuguese and Spanish to underline the cosmopolitan flavour of the initiative. To record these albums, The Gumbo Square Band use the most current of today's technology. These musical wave files cross the entire planet for editing in Mexico, before being sent to their final destinations in France and Germany to be mixed and mastered for release by our Creative Directors Pascal Mandin and Frank Itt. Our commitment is not only related to music. The Gumbo Square Band is also involved in social and sociological topics such as autism, bullying and homeless people. Going against all kind of discrimination is definitely more than a task. Few songs have been dedicated to those who need a helping hand.
