Overview
Grow Inspires empowers the socially disadvantaged through entrepreneurship. Practical experience has far more impact on developing sustainable enterprise skills than learning about business plans so we coach clients to grow real businesses. We take the same approach with our volunteers, embedding agile Leadership skills in aspiring leaders. Others offer corporate outreach, but they don't maximise the experience to develop the interpersonal skills needed to inspire innovation and lead change in today's accelerating workplace. Our growing library of innovation tools and techniques professionally facilitated by group coaching and reflection ensure our volunteers learn as much as their clients. Today's leadership L&D methods show what good leadership looks like, but fail when it comes to how to do it. Interpersonal skills only develop through practice. We provide that practice. Recent participants, coaching young entrepreneurs in Bangladesh tell us how the experience brought to life so much of what they had only heard in theory. Influencing people from a massively different culture taught them skills they had no idea they were missing. Best of all they felt happy to try new things knowing that what happens on the project stays on the project. It is only when we push beyond our comfort zone that we truly develop. Work colleagues need never know if they struggled with the challenges they encountered. Through our safe environment for talent development, business professionals develop skills such as: • Communicating across cultures • Inspiring growth and behaviour change • Collaborative problem-solving • Influencing through digital channels in a practical way, working with real people to solve real business challenges. And it takes just a few hours a week from the office or home causing minimal disruption to work. Employees feel more engaged, love doing good for the socially disadvantaged and it provides great material for outreach and CSR.
