Overview

Department of Construction Project Management developed from the Department of construction works organization and economics (1966) and until recently it was called the Department of Management, Technology and Informatics in Construction (1993) as well as the Institute of the same name. Under its current name the Department has been functioning since 2014. There are 17 members of staff working at the Department of Construction Project Management. Besides teaching, our experts often get to practically apply their knowledge to the real life situations by offering their professional expertise wherever it is needed through the Institute for Construction Project Management. Experts from the Department have closely cooperated with the industrial and economy sectors ever since 1988 as consultants on the valuable projects: Since 2013 the Department has been providing contract and claim management services and expert supervision of the execution of works on the New Smelter and Sulphuric Plant Reconstruction Project for RTB Bor in Bor, South East Serbia. Since 2010 the Department has been engaged on the construction of Corridor X – E-80 (Niš – Bulgarian border) and E-75 (Niš – Macedonian border) in Serbia. Between 2007 and 2010 the Department was involved in the construction of a complex plant for deep oil refinement, „Hydro cracking with the auxiliary objects“, for Surgutneftgaz in Kirishi, Russia, where our resident team of 24 engineers managed the realization of works on behalf of the main Contractor and also coordinated and controlled the works performed by 18 subcontracting companies. Between 1990 and 1995 our experts were engaged on the construction of a plant complex in Siberia after participating in the construction of 3 complex plants in Iraque from 1989 to 1991. Our staff members are also involved in many international and national scientific and research projects and such close cooperation with other universities inevitably leads to higher quality lectures.
