Overview

The Greek Cold Storage & Logistics Association, founded in 1957, is the oldest professional association in the field of Supply Chain and also the only institutional body in Greece in terms of storage and distribution of food at controlled temperatures. Our association today consists of 180 companies that specialize in the storage and distribution of food and basic necessities. The aim of the Union is to play an active role in the problems of the Supply Chain sector by offering access to knowledge, according to the needs of its members. Our permanent actions are:  The participation in the Standing Committee of Logistics in the Ministry of Development & Investment, shaping and designing the Legal & Regulatory framework. We note that recently a discussion was held at the Ministry on the licensing of existing Logistics companies.  As Permanent Advisers at the Ministry of Industry, we participate in Meetings for the interconnection of the Agri-food-Industry-Tourism sectors.  We are members of the official international organizations of the Cold Supply Chain in Europe & America ECSLA & WFLO respectively and we participate with our members in international conferences. We are the Only Association in the Field of Logistics to date in our country, which has completed 100% of the training program for "Training and certification of knowledge in the field of Cold Supply Chain" by the NSRF, covering training to 1147 employees in 13 regions in all over Greece.
