The Geographic Research and Application Laboratory (GREAL) was inaugurated by Università Europea di Roma on January 19th, 2009 (D.R. 1/2009). It is now operating under the Centro Dipartimentale per la Ricerca (Università Europea’s Department of Research). Its institutional areas of activity are Geographic Sciences and Technologies. The laboratory is therefore involved in research and advanced training in several geography-based or geography-related fields, from Environmental Science to Archaeology. Work at the lab is conducted by an Operational Committee gathering researchers and experts of Università Europea and other institutions. A Scientific Committee of distinguished scholars and scientists oversees the research and instructional programs developed by the laboratory. The laboratory is located at the Università Europea di Roma (Via degli Aldobrandeschi 190, Rome building). It is also in charge of a light aviation unit based on the Santa Severa Nord airfield. // Il Geographic Research and Application Laboratory (GREAL) è stato costituito presso l’Università Europea di Roma il 19 gennaio 2009 (D.R. 1/2009) ed opera alle dipendenze del Dipartimento di Scienze Umane. Le sue aree di attività sono la ricerca e la formazione avanzata nel campo delle Scienze e delle Tecnologie Geografiche. L’oggetto degli studi svolti presso il GREAL spazia dalle Scienze Ambientali all’Archeologia del territorio e del paesaggio. Il laboratorio opera attraverso un Comitato Operativo di ricercatori interni ed esterni all’ateneo, sotto la supervisione di un Comitato Scientifico di studiosi che si siano distinti in vari campi delle Scienze Geografiche e delle discipline correlate. Il laboratorio ha sede presso l’Università Europea di Roma (Via degli Aldobrandeschi 190).
