Gold Country Senior Services provides essential programs that meet the basic needs of seniors living in Western Nevada County. Our mission is to ensure older adults have nutritional meals, warm homes, social interaction, and a greater sense of security. Gold Country Senior Services, Inc. was incorporated in December 1976 as the Senior Citizens Foundation of Western Nevada County (SCFWNC). Today, with a small staff and more than 120 dedicated volunteers, we provide activities, classes, and events to enhance the health and well-being of our participants. We provide hot nutritious meals by means of our Congregate Lunch Cafe & Meals on Wheels, we warm many senior homes through our firewood program and much more…
