Overview
Follow us on Instagram: @gmuasce The George Mason University Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers (GMU ASCE) is a Registered Student Organization (RSO) established to enhance the knowledge gained from the classroom by providing students with the tools needed to help build a solid foundation for future careers. Our goal is to develop skilled leaders, and in doing so we hope to bring George Mason University’s Sid and Reva Dewberry Department of Civil, Environmental, and Infrastructure Engineering to the forefront of the global civil engineering community. Founded in 1852, the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) represents more than 150,000 members of the civil engineering profession worldwide and is America's oldest national engineering society. We, GMU ASCE, accomplish our mission in a variety of ways such as connecting academia to industry and government, competing in national civil engineering competitions, and giving students hands-on experience. By carrying out our mission, we also help: • Advance technology • Encourage lifelong learning • Promote professionalism and the profession • Develop civil engineer leaders • Advocate infrastructure and environmental stewardship Contact us to learn how you can help!
