Overview

The development of the Global Innovation and Technology Centre (GITC) has been initiated through the identification of South Africa’s need to globally expand and develop alongside international partners. The GITC is a multi-purpose innovation and technology hub based in Durban, South Africa (The Gateway to Africa.). The GITC will make provision for the expansion of key growth opportunities within the economy, particularly facilitating the manufacturing and service industry. The recognition of specific market segments will make provision for technological advancement, job creation, and sustainable economic growth in line with the South African Government’s Macroeconomic Policy goals.
