The Global EdTech Startups Awards (GESA or GESAwards) is the world’s largest EdTech startup competition. Initiated in 2014, GESAwards is the first global startup competition in Edtech led by a group of prominent education innovation organizations from across the world. GESAwards was co-founded by MindCET, Open Education Challenge (EU), EdTech UK and Inncubated (Latin America). Over 2000 startups from across the world have applied to GESA, for the opportunity to be given a global voice and to be crowned the Most Promising EdTech Startup of the year! In addition to promoting the best EdTech startups, GESA helps to build local edtech ecosystems, connect to a global market and provide mentoring. Today GESA has become a significant player in promoting EdTech innovative solutions that address real educational problems. Every year there are semifinals in all continents around the world organized by the local partner. The winners of those semifinals participate for a spot at the final global event. The global event has taken place in Israel, USA and UK.
