Girls on the Run Minnesota

Overview

Girls on the Run is a transformational physical activity-based positive youth development program for girls and gender-expansive youth in 3rd-8th grade. Trained volunteer coaches deliver an evidence-based curriculum that creatively integrates running with life skills like managing emotions, intentional decision-making, building healthy friendships and more. The program culminates with a non-competitive, celebratory 5K - the largest youth 5K in the state of Minnesota! Girls on the Run Minnesota reaches communities from Grand Marais to Stewartville and from Benson to Stillwater. Since 2012, Girls on the Run Minnesota has reached more than 25,000 girls. Mission: We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. Vision: We envision a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams. We are actively seeking volunteers and supporters who believe in cultivating an inclusive, diverse, equitable and accessible community and building the world our girls deserve.
