Georgia is in a prime position to attract investment dollars by offering incentives for music technology companies to set up shop in the state. Investments in music technology in the United States for 2010 were over $4 billion. Georgia Music Partners wants to attract these music companies, and the resulting investment dollars, to the state in order to create sustainable jobs and positively impact the state’s economy. Additionally, GMP wants the state to implement incentives that will attract bands, artists and musicians to record in the state. Further, GMP wants to incentivize the state’s high profile performers, producers and music businesses owners – thus encouraging them to stay here.
