Overview

Geopoly is a location-based mobile game in which users buy real-world properties from their phone. Locations can be bought only if the user is nearby. Once the location is bought it could be upgraded and starts bringing revenue based on its popularity. Users compete with each other based on their net worth around the world. The game was launched in 2011 and utilized same mechanics and ideas as in extremely popular Pokemon GO but 5 years before it was launched.
