GENERATE - East of England The East of England is a globally renowned centre for energy generation and engineering. Our energy system is diverse, ranging from offshore wind to natural gas – large scale solar to nuclear power – energy storage and transmission to biomass generation and much more. Diverse technologies but with many commonalities, to work they require highly skilled people, innovative businesses, finely tuned logistics and ingenuity coupled with the right natural resources - all found in abundance in the East of England. GENERATE is a pioneering partnership of regional business and political leaders, here to smooth the way for investment and development of the energy sector in the East of England. It is a partnership that brings political and business support and access to a highly experienced energy supply chain through the regional industry body, the East of England Energy Group (EEEGR), and the Chambers of Commerce for Norfolk and Suffolk. GENERATE's founding partners include Norfolk and Suffolk County Councils, Great Yarmouth Borough Council, East Suffolk Council and North Norfolk District Council. The New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) plays a strategic role in the direction of GENERATE by securing funds from Government to help businesses grow whilst delivering ambitious programmes to ensure that businesses have the funding, support, skills, and infrastructure needed to flourish.
