Overview
Gani Fawehinmi Chambers is a prestigious component of the University of Nigeria Students' Bar Association (UNSBA), paying homage to the late Chief Abdul Ganiyu Oyesola Fawehinmi, SAN. The primary objective of our chambers is to establish platforms that foster the development of law students, enabling them to become proficient and accomplished legal practitioners. At Gani Fawehinmi Chambers, our foremost aim is to set a precedent as leaders within the University of Nigeria's student bar. To attain this, we consistently dedicate our efforts to cultivating students who possess adept skills and knowledge in areas such as advocacy, legal research, legal drafting, and writing. Since its establishment, our chambers have effectively bridged the gap between theoretical knowledge acquired within classroom walls and practical application. This is achieved through the organization and participation in intra- and inter-chambers competitions, consisting of Legal debates, Moot competitions, Mock Trials, Corporate Presentations, and Client Counseling sessions. Currently for the 2022/2023 Legal Year, Gani Fawehinmi Chambers is under the leadership of Deborah Okoronkwo (SAUN) and Daberechi Ogbu (SAUN).
