Overview
Founded in 1974 by a dedicated group of health educators, Foundation for Healthy Generations (formerly Comprehensive Health Education Foundation (CHEF)) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a mission to create enduring health equity. Our strategic focus is to ACTIVATE, elevate and inform community voice, ACCELERATE its strength through shared learning and hope-filled action, and thereby TRANSFORM community conditions for health. We believe that people and communities thrive when all are healthy, included and connected. Complex social issues like building healthy communities outpace the ability of any one organization to solve them. We provide strategically targeted philanthropic dollars from our investment fund along with technical expertise and convening for key community and leadership learning to invest in community based health solutions. Follow us on Facebook (www.facebook.com/HealthyGen) and Twitter (@fdnhealthygen) to hear more about our work!
