WHO WE ARE The Finnish Light Art Society FLASH was established in 2017 to promote Finnish light art in Finland and internationally. The Society is an NGO, open for everyone interested in light art. The Society has close to two hundred members, coming from a wide variety of backgrounds, reflecting the diversity of light art: visual artists, lighting designers, VJ’s, architects and technical experts to name a few. WHAT WE DO The Society organizes the FLASH Light Art Biennale, which has its fourth edition in 2024 in Tampere, Finland. The aim of the Biennale is to enhance artistic content and quality in light art and create awareness. In addition to the Biennale, the Society organizes other exhibitions, education, events and residencies. Furthermore, the Society informs about and comments on issues related to light art.
